Published Date: Sunday, 1 March 2026
Assoc. Prof. Ali ÖVGÜN has contributed to a major international white paper released by the COST Action COSMIC WISPers in the Dark Universe. The paper, posted on arXiv on 3 March 2026, brings together leading researchers working on axions, axion-like particles, dark photons, and other weakly interacting slim particles (WISPs), which are considered promising candidates for dark matter.
The report presents the current theoretical, astrophysical, and experimental status of these particles and outlines the prospects for future searches in Europe and beyond. Dr. ÖVGÜN appears to be the only EMU-affiliated author who contributed this large international collaboration.
The white paper is titled The COSMIC WISPers White Paper: The physics case for Weakly Interacting Slim Particles and is available as arXiv:2603.03433. The arXiv record lists it as a 620-page community report.
